Whole-school sustainability planning


Primary, secondary and executive teachers


This workshop aims to provide a sustainability management and action plan for the whole school that promotes environmental, social, economic, governance and personal sustainability.

BOSTES accredited for 5 PD hours for the maintenance of accreditation at proficient teacher level. Standard descriptors: 1.2.2, 1.5.2, 3.7.2, 7.2.2 and 7.4.2.

Sessions comprise:

  • an exploration of holistic sustainability as it applies to schools through image-based activities
  • case studies of whole-school sustainability approaches
  • planning a sustainability vision for your own school
  • approaches to implementing the vision and overcoming challenges such as getting others on board.


Workshops are for a full day. A customised, in-school consultancy service is also offered whereby workshops can be run over a full day, half day or as after-school sessions. A combination of online and face-to- face presentation can also be catered for.
